Features of vCloud® Availability

This service enables the disaster recovery of your virtual machines to the Selectel cloud. With vCloud® Availability, you can configure the parameters of replication and recovery for each virtual machine. If the primary site goes offline, the virtual machines will failover to Selectel.

Benefits of vCAv

Configure fault tolerance for individual virtual machines and vApps.

Ensure continuous data replication to the Selectel site without interrupting your services.

Protect and compress your replication traffic with TLS.

The use of TCP port 443 eliminates the need for additional configuration.

General FAQ

What do I need to ensure the disaster recovery of my VMwarе infrastructure?

You don’t need anything to ensure the disaster recovery between data centers using Stretched vSAN™—simply select a fault-tolerant cluster when creating your virtual data center.

To ensure the disaster recovery of your on-premise infrastructure using vCloud® Availability, install a vCloud® Availability virtual machine.

Do you ensure the redundancy of network equipment?

We ensure the redundancy of all our network equipment, from switches to routers. Even if a network device goes offline, you won’t notice because it won’t affect access to the virtual machine.

vCloud® Availability FAQ

What are the requirements to my infrastructure?

The control component VMware vCenter Server® version 6.5 U1 or 6.0 U3 is required.

Do we need to install agents on each virtual machine?

No, vCloud® Availability does not use agents on virtual machines and virtualization hosts; it runs on vSphere™ Replication technology.

Is there a way to create a disaster recovery plan?

Yes, vCloud® Availability allows for the grouping of virtual machines and the configuration of loading sequence.

What is the maximum infrastructure size for vCloud® Availability?

Virtual machine size cannot exceed 15 TB.
